Grandma’s Liver and Lung Cleansing Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 2 inches of fresh ginger root
  • 1 lemon
  • 1 tablespoon of honey
  • 2 cups of water
  • 1 teaspoon of turmeric (optional)
  • 1/2 teaspoon of black pepper (optional, to enhance turmeric absorption)

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Ginger: Peel the ginger root and grate it or cut it into thin slices.
  2. Boil the Water: In a small pot, bring the 2 cups of water to a boil.
  3. Add Ingredients: Once the water is boiling, add the ginger slices, and reduce the heat. Let it simmer for about 10-15 minutes.
  4. Add Lemon and Honey: After simmering, remove the pot from heat. Squeeze the juice of one lemon into the mixture and add the tablespoon of honey. Stir well.
  5. Optional Add-ins: If using, add the teaspoon of turmeric and 1/2 teaspoon of black pepper, and stir to combine.
  6. Strain and Serve: Strain the mixture into a mug to remove the ginger pieces. Your cleansing drink is now ready to enjoy.
